Develop front end applications for the Helpdesk internal website including graphical interfaces integrated with back end device monitoring, templatize the helpdesk website, modify static website to dynamically display up to date current issues and scheduled maintenance items. Leadership responsibilities include implementing proper development procedures by drafting style guides and enforcing strict code reviews, and assist in code clean up. Other duties involve minor Remedy adminstration and Remedy development including creating an xml-rpc api library for interacting with the ticketing system, creating new Remedy filters, creating an email api for ticket updates, and other Remedy based services for web functionality. Core languages used at Google are PHP, Python and Perl.

Contract Web Developer

Make recommendations on technologies for clients (mostly small to mid-sized companies). Design and develop online applications for both internal and external use with VBScript/Active Server Pages/Access, and PHP/MySQL including designing and developing databases. Web applications included online learning course for nurses, and content management systems to update online content and manage lists of users and class registrations.

Covalent Technologies - September 2001 to December 2001
Contract Web Developer

Sole developer for the Covalent Apache 2.0 web site. Responsibilities included database design, development, and creation (MySQL); architecting the site structure; installing, configuring, and customizing Phorum (an open source PHP discussion board); configuring and coding scripts for live news feeds using RSS, PHP-RSS, and XML::RSS; and integrating existing e-commerce capabilities for the Apache 2.0 online store.

Business 2.0 - February 2000 to April 2001
Lead Web Developer

Pivotal in the development and launch of the (now website in eight weeks. Duties included managing contract and in house resources; developing and documenting coding standards; mentoring junior developers; reviewing code, hiring resources; programming extensively in Tcl, StoryServer, PL/SQL, PHP, Javascript; architecting, documenting, developing, and implementing online applications. Other duties included administering Vignette StoryServer, configuring Ultraseek, developing the wireless strategy for integration with AOL Mobile, and purchasing software and books for developers. Large scale web applications included online community for users with common interests and abilities to network (no longer on the site), content management system (did not use StoryServer's internal content management system) for editors to create and edit content. Smaller applications included a "roll out" system for deployment of updates from development to QA to production.

Computer Image and Design, Inc. - June 1997 to December 1999
Lead Web Developer

Responsible for the development and maintenance of client sites. Duties included configuring cgi-scripts, writing customized Javascript, architecting and developing ASP applications, configuring Microsoft Internet Information Server and Index Server. Other duties included administering Windows NT on CIAD's local network, managing users, installing components and software, maintaining an internal testing environment. Experiences also included migrating client web sites.

GeoCities - April, 1996 to June, 1997

Initially began at GeoCities answering user technical support email. Moved then into the Content department where duties included producing live, online chat events; featuring user content; and graphic design for promotional pages.
